The bed in post 8 is the Mendocino bed from Pottery Barn. I bought mine in 1999, but they still offer it on their site. Simple & Rustic Bedrooms |

I don't think automated blinds are a bad idea. I've considered getting blackout shades so I'll sleep more soundly in the early morning, but I'm truly afraid that I'll crawl back to sleep after the alarm.
