HELP! My apartment livingroom windows overlook a parking lot. I have a room divider covering them. The room divider is simple blond wood with paper squares. I have drapes covering each side and matching valances on the top. It looks great during the day but at night it looks dull. How can I lite the screen from the back. I had thought of white christmas lites. Anybody have any ideas? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Sheer Curtains Across a Wall Small Space Solution |

I used the same process but I used carpet samples from a carpet store (they always have samples they want to get rid of) I did not even stitch them I duck taped them together. You have endless color pallets. Even if you but the carpet samples at the 99 cent store you can do a very large rug for under 20 bucks. I rent a really nice apartment but the backsplash was white formica and so were the counters. I bought self adhesive metal cieling tiles in a copper tone and rubbed them with white paint then wiped the paint off to hi-lite the design on the tiles. Looks fantastic and cost me about $50 bucks. I have 6 of these chairs. They were all in that brown color I bought them at a flea market for 100 bucks. I had them painted white (at a place that paints cars). Bought some throw pillows for seats (anchor them with Velcro) then I took some braided rope from the craft store and wrapped the middle back in the same color as the cushion. They now sit in my dining room under a glass table with a runner made from the same material the cushions are made of. Total cost: chairs $100.00, throw pillows $50.00, braid $30.00, painting $100.00, table runner $5.00. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Should I Repaint These Chairs? Good Questions |
