I agree that this room is absolutely gorgeous but I couldn't help thinking that it would be a very good candidate for a "get the look for less" comparison. I think part of being creative is not necessarily tricking out your kid's room with the Serena and Lily catalogue. At the same time, part of me thinks "if you can afford it, then why not!"
Needless to say, I am very jealous of this 6 year old's luxurious digs!

Oh, my mistake, shipping for an item under $200 with conran would be $35. Still a wash.

The HiLo chair has never been $395, it retails for $299. It annoys me when stores over-inflate the cost of an item to make the sale appear better. Also note that shipping for the chair is $45. You can purchase the chair from buy buy baby in any colour for $240 if you use a 20% bed bath and beyond or buybuy baby coupon, which works out to slightly less than the one on conran.

I'm not usually one to dole out the compliments but this has to be the most beautiful nursery I've seen on this website. I abolutely LOVE it. The colours are so perfect and serene.
I would take precautions concerning the use of crib bumpers (even though they look gorgeous, SIDS and all that).
Fantastic job!

Though I do think this room is cute, there are a few things I noticed that set off some alarm bells.
First of all, I would never hang anything on the wall above the baby's crib or changing station- you just never know if they will fall off. I would never hang a picture above the head of my bed and so could not justify doing that in the nursery. I would at least move the crib away from the wall a bit, in case one of the picture frames does fall.
I'm hoping the small objects/ shells are glued onto the curio display shelf- if not, I would attach them so that they do not somehow find themselves in baby's mouth.
Crib bumpers are a big nono- they increase the risk of SIDS and are strongly discouraged in Canada, as well as on SIDS safety checklists. A safer alternative would be a "breathable baby" bumper. They're not as aesthetically pleasing but then that really isn't the point, I suppose.
Overall, a very cute room. Sorry I was so critical but I think nursery safety should trump all else.
