In Brooklyn I usually head for the waterfront. There's green stuff around, dogs, kids, but really, it's the water that attracts me.
When it's cold though, I hole up and do crafts, have friends over, or head to a cool exhibition that I can only see because I live in NYC.

I am so persnickety and stubborn about it but have recently had my own insight to this weekend meditation that has allowed to me to be able to take a breath and step out of the situation most of the time. It's difficult to overcome this little behavioral patterns but it can make such a big difference.

I could spend hours in grocery stores (and do - I work in one! Yay!) and it always irks me a little when I'm in total reverie and my boyfriend interupts to say, "Can we just hurry it up and get out of here? Please?" Another classic - "Don't walk away, I want this to be quick."

I can't recommend Lodge enough. I have a few pieces of Le Creuset that I recieved as gifts from my parents, and a few Lodge, purchased by myself both for myself and gifts and am never disappointed. LC is basically kitchen fashion.

I was actually just thinking about writing in about this. I have been looking for a good freezer storage option. I buy beans in bulk and make huge batches, then freeze them in plastic zip top bags. Waaaaay wasteful, so this looks like a good alternative. Also perhaps for homemade ice creams?
