I use a different recipe each time I make cut outs. But one thing I always do is use powdered sugar to roll my dough out on. It makes the cookies have a sugary crust on them. So good!! Can You Recommend a Reliable Sugar Cookie Recipe? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I think it depends on the size of your toaster oven. My cheap Wally World toaster ovens did not cook the cookies well. However, my new Delonghi cooks everything perfectly!!
