I found a ninja action figure, about 2 inches in height. It cleaned it and it's now sitting on my bookshelf beside Snoopy wearing a kimono.

I found Snoopy on the steps of the common building in undergrad with a note that asked someone to please take care of him.

@carolynapplebee your comment is HIGHLY inappropriate. You should note that as well. Your IP address should be banned from AT.

Having been born in raised in NC I was happy to see the pictorial of Hickory Chair but my first thought was the same as @rahimah's.
That said, I am happy to see the diversity in age and that AT is highlighting quality American-made products from my home state.

I have more news for you: people are paid to write reviews on third-party websites. I know this b/c I was paid to do it as a side job in another lifetime shortly after I graduated from undergrad. It blew my mind some 5 years or so when I was explained the job.

It went something like this: I was given a product (sometimes but not always and less often than you would think) and I was told to write multiple "authentic-sounding" reviews in different povs and as many of them as I could on the most obscure to the most popular websites. The goal was to increase positive reviews and to push a product's search engine ranking up by using keywords. As a result, the only reviews I truly trust are of products with hundreds and larger amounts of reviews, or where I can view a reviewer's history of different products. Now I will say this problem is less prevalent than it was some 5 years ago but it still happens.

I have since repented for the sins I committed in that job. Now I'm a dirty, dirty ambulance chaser.

Been in love with that Marimekko shower curtain for a long time. Was all set to buy it until I realized it was polyester. I even thought about buying the fabric but it's too short in width!

I haven't found anything that aesthetically appeals to me more so for now all I have is a cloth shower liner until I figure out something.

@rr90027 I read the news (paper) every day... from my computer. The idea of sitting to read printed on paper news is more nostalgic than anything. Save a tree and read online. I used to work in the editorial/news industry--at a newspaper for some time but mostly for magazines. I cannot wait until the day when newspapers are strictly online content and just news.

I hope the comments inspire said poster to modify this utterly absurd and wasteful cleaning routine that I don't even think Adrian Monk would use. I can't wait to see the porcelain sink and tub post, if there will be one.

And what on earth would be the point of saturating paper towels with vinegar. So the vinegar can dry in the paper towels and simply be wasted? You'd be better off soaking a rag/dish cloth with vinegar and using said dish cloth to actually wipe the sink and then throwing it in the wash. Nevermind that I would do neither. We simply wash the sink with soap and water on a regular basis around here. But we also don't have much meat in this household. And as for paper towels, they simply are not allowed in my house. Ever!

I don't understand the sponge thing. They are gross and end up in landfills.

@magzeen Organization of that magnitude is indeed possible. I know so. I live that way. And no, I don't have any type of compulsive disorder. It just makes life easier ;-).

My floor, however, is often filled with torn leaves and dirt brought in by my dog. I just sweep it at night.

@Ivlichelle agreed. Plus, I'm gonna go extra PETA and say little fish bowls are just cruel. (Finding Nemo, anyone?) It's like solitary confinement with no privileges.

If #1 were inexpensive I'd buy it and put a photo of a fish in it, lol. It's just so gosh darn cute.
