Good point-- it's hard to find space for them sometimes. I use the unoriginal under the sink approach, but some local flower shops will take back your old vases (you know, those standard ones you don't need a bunch of) and maybe even give you a little discount on flowers. It's one way I keep my collection under control. Where Do You Store Flower Vases? |

I love doing my BSCBs in the slow cooker. I pretty much cover the bottom of the cooker with coarse sea salt, place the breast on top in a single layer. Sprinkle with more salt and add pepper. Cover with water (about 4 cups in my cooker) and cook for 7 hours on low. You'll get very tender chicken and you haven't added any oil. And it's shredded chicken, which I love, and use for salads, sandwiches, tacos, etc. for the week. You could also probably use the liquid remaining in the cooker as a broth, but it might be a bit salty. How to Cook Moist & Tender Chicken Breasts Every Time |

If you live in the US it can be 'macaroon' or 'macaron', but it's not the coconut version, it's the french macaron. So, sure, 'macaron' is correct, but down-to-earth bakers won't fault you at all for saying 'macaroon' if you're not French. I asked because I feel like a pretentious dumb-ass trying to give anything a french sound. Trend Watch: Are Doughnuts the New Cupcake? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

In regards to the OTHER way these microwave covers are used...these (below) are my favorite re-usable covers for fridge bowls. I LOVE the one I got from the Martha Stewart collection at Macy's, but I don't think they're selling them anymore. I did see something similar at Sur La Table. They suction right onto the tops of just about any bowl! LOVIT! Plastic Wrap Alternative: Microwave Cooking Covers | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |
