We always go straight to the remaindered section. After that we try only to look at our shopping list. One thing I do dislike in their stores is the low lighting I shop in France and Italy and they seem dark. I don't know if that's universal.

I've come back here to ask who buys an apartment based on the fridge? We bought ours with no fridge. Our last more spacious kitchen had an under counter freezer and a five foot tall fridge it was ideal as we shopped less frequently then when we lived in the country.

I don't think you are being fair to readers of this site I've rarely read remarks like 'anything I want I've bought myself'. Apart from when discussing unwanted Christmas gifts. I think most people are sympathetic to low earners as they probably started out that way themselves.

I've had both and given the choice far prefer combination. Having a fridge at eye level is much more convenient than under counter.
