I just wanted to weigh in since I am one of the few who also don't believe in 2nd or 3rd showers. I guess I'm old fashioned! For some people, it does seem like a gift grab rather than a true celebration. I understand the need to celebrate every child however and I think the request for diapers is a good compromise. It lets guests know that they don't expect big gifts this time around. Yes, I know that cribs, car seats etc.. get worn out but I still think it's not right to expect big gifts for every child. My husband and I bought a sofa from them a few weeks ago. It looks good and Don certainly knows a lot about sofas. Time will tell how it holds up but except for some smudge on the fabric, it feels sturdy and looks good. I was less impressed by the customer service. It took several emails and calls to get a fabric sample (we had taken several from the showroom but forgotten the name of one piece; it would help if they offered white labels to stick to the fabric sample). I was also surprised that they delivered our sofa in a small pickup truck. Other furniture had been stacked on top of it. Finally, when I emailed them a few weeks later to ask a question, they never responded. This concerns me a bit as you never know how they would handle issues such as warranty. I would probably be the worse reviewer because I already like some Method products AND I don't clean very well. However, if I win, I will try my best to be disregard Method's chic packaging and eco-friendliness and evaluate each product based upon actual effectiveness in comparison to other commerical brands. I will also promise to do the cleaning instead of waiting (and hoping) that my husband gets it done first. Wednesday Giveaway: Method Home Products |
