OMG!!!! Thank you for sharing. That was the best (and easiest) soup I've ever made!

You could give this room pizzaz with practically no money!
1. Turn the bed so the head is under the art
2. Turn the desk so it's facing the window and you can look out when you work
3. Either replace the current pillow shams with or add two more white ones and to give a bit of contrast perhaps a couple of roll pillows, maybe in black to keep a simple colour scheme. If you have white sheets, you might also want to turn down the comforter to have a layer of white showing. Add a black throw on the bed and you have an inexpensive makeover.
Love the windows!

I love my LG front loading washer & dryer. My clothes come out clean (and almost dry out of the washer) I can wash almost twice as much in one load as I used to, and I'm using less everything, water, detergent & electricity, but heaven forbid I leave a load in the washer overnight - it starts to stink in no time and has to be rewashed. While I do my darks and colours in cold, I still do whites, especially sheets and towels, in hot. I tried cold but found the towels would smell when they became wet again. I also leave the washer door open after a load to let the inside dry.

There's nothing quite as delicious as homemade stock. I also freeze stock in ice cube trays then place them in a container in the freezer. It's easy to pop a couple into a stir fry or add to rice. My Golden Retriever LOVES them too!

This is my favourite post each week. Thank you for the inspiration! Not living in a city, my flowers are limited to grocery store finds in the winter. I grow lots of fun cut flowers in the summer ... but every trip I do make to the "big city", the first stop is the flower market to find really unique items.

The orange wallpaper is the same style that we had in our old house - full ceiling and wall coverage coupled with a funky (take that as you will) green shag carpet - the carpet ran through the bathroom, hallway and KITCHEN!
Cool!

oooops, I mean low energy star number which uses less electricity and therefore is a higher rated fridge (teenagers are home from school and my head is spinning!)

Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | The Necessities of a Beer Fridge?

Unfortunately, necessary ... for 3 reasons:
1. Our basement (where #2 fridge is located) is generally the teenagers hangout - having handy milk, juices and soft drinks are a necessity.
2. Milk is bought in BULK. The extra fridge saves extra trips to buy milk (note the teenagers above)
3. My kitchen fridge is a side by side. I was excited about the water and ice dispenser but realized after the fact the freezer is pretty much useless for big items like turkeys (yes, I know multiple, but remember the teenagers)
Yes I shop at Costco but I do try to make my shopping trips count which save extra trips. That's also where I bought the basement fridge with a very high energy star rating! ;-)

That's so much fun! I thought I was the only person in the world with Disco Balls on my tree! My mother would play the Boney M Christmas 8-track ENDLESSLY during my childhood Christmas' - now it's essential tree decorating music, hence the fabulous disco balls - an ode to mom!

Grace, I love your needlepoint exactly as is. It will always hold a special place in your heart because it is from your mom, and the story behind it is quite a conversation starter! Glad they made it through ok.

Lurker2209, you might find some of the Charley Harper projects fun to do. I don't know if you can still buy them retail but I've bought them from eBay.

August to me is Ontario Peaches! 3 weeks of pure bliss - fresh peaches, peach curries, peach baked goods then taking some time to make preserves to savour until next August!
