Perfect place for a nice stack of books. I like the asymmetry of it too. I know I always have a handful of art books that don't fit on the regular shelves anyway. Solve two problems at once! The absolute best old radio you can get is the 1920s Radio Network. You can check it out online: http://www.the1920snetwork.com/ or stream it on iTunes (in the Eclectic section). Seriously, the only radio I listen to and always excellent. Living in the Past with Old Time Radio |

Normally, this etsy seller has handmade cards (cut up from original paintings, lithographs, watercolors, etc.) and they're great to frame and hang up. I much prefer buying an original than a print anyway, so it's perfect. I think she even sells cards framed so that you can write the card and give it as a gift with a frame? Must check . . . anyway, great idea. http://intentionalbeauty.etsy.com Affordable Art: Wall-Worthy Greeting Cards |

vintage film art is a pretty awesome bet. if you want something large and dramatic, look for original French one panel posters, which are about 45"x63" and almost always have stunning artwork. try ebay, www.filmartgallery.com, www.posteritati.com, etc. depending on the picture, the stars, and the quality of the poster, you can find some amazing deals. The only reason I have cable in the first place and can't bring myself to cancel it is Turner Classic Movies. Too much good stuff you can't get on DVD . . . but it sucks that you have to pay for the second tier just to get that channel. Hi, all! Maggie here. I am so glad you noticed the square footage problem too . . . it was my first time using Sketch Up and I had no idea what my square footage was, and I knew it couldn't be correct . . . thank you!!!!! Regarding Ollie, he was in a ton of the pictures I tried to take and they were all so bad because of the lighting . . . he didn't end up making an appearance in any of the "good" photos. Wah wah! @Carrie H., surprisingly, the shower curtain is from Bed, Bath & Beyond! I never find anything there, but I'm thrilled with that shower curtain . . . Definitely change out the mirror and toilet seat. Huge step right there. You might also consider using removable hooks to hang some prints in the bathroom that would a) cover up some of the marble and b) add color and a sense of personality. If you went with some sort of big mid-century print like a 1960's French one panel film poster, you could cover a HUGE space on that long wall across from the shower and really change the focus from the marble to the artwork.
