This may be a total non-sequitor, but I am dying to know if these men are a family unit of some kind. Such decoration is not normal for single, straight guys (or even single gay guys). It's too cohesive for them to be roommates. Roommate situations are too transient for great decorating. It says "alternative family unit of some kind to me." These are really interesting repurposing ideas. The teacup lamp is really interesting, although it would only fit in with very funky decor.
