We have warm white in the house we are renting and it kills me. I hate it. It looks dirty. I like very pure white whites. Choosing the Best White Paint: A Cool vs. Warm and Old vs. New Theory |

I have that berry tote and keep a couple of them in my car at all times in case I forget my bags. I prefer my baggu's but these come in handy in a bind. :) Berry Picking: Strawberry Kitchen Finds Under $50 |

I do this in almost all of the rooms in our house. It's an Eichler style so there are lots of windows. But there is also a split windowed/glass door in every room to the outside. I just put the curtains all the way across the wall and treat the doors as windows since we don't always use them. If we need to access it, it is there. If not, it's a non full panel glass window that is covered. ;) Before & After: Disguising Offset Windows Behind a Bed |

I would never, ever, buy a used carseat. I did buy our stroller from craigslist. It's a Bugaboo Cameleon and I use it on a daily basis. It's been the most amazing stroller. I have sold several Stokke Trip Trapps on Craigslist and never for less than $150-$200. New Baby? Buy Secondhand Gear |

Not everyone is putting two kids into a room because of "money issues". I think of it more of a space issue. We don't need or want a larger space and my boys are excited about sharing a room. Best Bunk Beds 2012 Apartment Therapy's Annual Guide |

You can get that world map from Paper Source for all of $3-4 and put it in a frame. I don't know why places like Urban Outfitters sell it for $25, and $99 (framed albeit) from Land of Nod? They must be crazy ! Fun Stuff From Kids Catalogs...For You |

We made the mistake of putting a harness/leash on our cat once to "let her roam" the patio (we were in an apartment on the bottom floor). Within 3 seconds she somehow entangled herself and all the patio furniture and the chair we had attached the leash to in our living room into a mess so large it took us about an hour to untangle it all. It looked like something out of a cartoon. Now we live in a house with a gated courtyard and backyard and she escapes every chance she gets just to roll in the dirt. We take her outside supervised sometimes so she can eat grass or roll in the dirt or just explore. Otherwise she is perfectly content taunting the dogs from places they can not reach and stealing their toys from them. Would You Leash-Train Your Cat? The New York Times |
