my nut butters & honey all come from the farmers market in jars that i always save. once they're nearly empty, i use the very bits of whatever honey or peanut butter is left to make salad dressings. the lid makes it easy to shake up--since it's screwed on, no leakage! 10 Simple Uses for Spaghetti Jars |

also, i would remove the shade on the door & frost the glass instead (very easy to remove again someday when you move). it will give you privacy while still letting light it. Add Interest to Long Narrow Hallway without Feeling Claustrophobic? Good Questions |

Consider hanging a large quilt along that big wall. It won't take up any outward space, it adds visual interest, and it warms up the hallway (literally & figuratively). here's an example: http://gallery.apartmenttherapy.com/photo/julies-jubilant-loft/item/120915 Add Interest to Long Narrow Hallway without Feeling Claustrophobic? I would have liked to have seen the bed in the master bedroom. I really liked the grey walls & the flat has very good bones; the moldings & hardwood floors are really lovely. I especially liked the renovated kitchen & baths. The pre-war German leather exercise mat is super cool! Josh & Rae's Well Curated Home House Tour |

i have the same exact problem! i am trying to be better about just tossing the samples or even declining them when the salespeople offer them to me when i make a purchase. i definitely have a bit of hoarder tendency to think i will need things, hence having trouble throwing them out. but i've gotten more liberal about getting rid of stuff lately. went to the market this afternoon & bought pink roses & some daisies. then came home, stripped the bed, into the washer the sheets & duvet cover went (much to the dismay of my dog who was snoozing soundly on top of said bed), and clean flannel sheets went on to the bed, along with a fresh duvet cover. philly is expecting temps in the 20's all week, so it was a good time to flannel up the bed. thankfully, this a cure step that i took a long time ago. last year i purged my massive book collection to make way for a leather sofa bed from room & board and i sold all my CD's more than 6 years ago on amazon. all my music is digital and with the exception of my cook books, design books, and books for professional use (I am a social worker), all of my books for reading pleasure are on my kindle. today the electrician finally came and swapped out two fixtures for me. i feel like i can't really take any credit for that, since he did all the work. but my next big thing, which feels daunting, is getting a handle on all of my clothes, putting them away nicely & neatly, hanging them up, folding them, getting them up off the loveseat in the bedroom & the stool in the bathroom. i know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's my one sore spot for some reason. i pledge to have this task completed by thursday night. i am the same way. i quickly tire of my choices and within 5 years am ready for all new stuff with a whole new style. i really genuinely truly love it when i am living with it for the first 2 or 3 years or so, but then i begin to feel that my style is changing and evolving and i begin to get that itch to redo redo redo!!!!
