I have that cutting board and it doesn't lay flat, the sides always come up. I'm giving it away. Anyone else have that problem with it?

I love my baggu, but no way in the world it will hold 50 lbs. Mine are already coming apart at the seems and I use them a few days a week. They are great in terms of being small, but certainly not durable.

This is a prime example of how the user interface is so frustrating on this site. With so many thumbnails to scroll through, you have to scroll down, click, scroll back up, scroll down and find your place among the tiny thumbnail, scroll back up to look at the picture. Most of the time I give up looking at the picture because it takes so long. Please please please put some arrows or something up so you can just click quickly through the images. Or maybe just click on the photo to go to the next one. It drives me nuts!!

I was so excited for this but I can't find it. I followed your link and it only has video clips and I can't find anything that says full episodes. Do you have to sign in to watch them?

A trick I learned while cooking overseas is to season a stainless steel skillet with salt and oil. Just rub salt around on the pan for a while with a paper towel and I don't know how but it smooths it out and we were able to cook eggs (and anything else) every time with absolutely no sticking. You have to do it about 3 times at first and reseason every once in a while but it works!

I agree with patrick(the other one)...we have beaten this to death a while back. Isn't there anything new in the food world to discuss?

I have an extremely unusual name (although apparently it is an old-time name), and I hate it so much that I'm embarrassed to even write it here. It has two meanings, one of which is so uncomfortable that it makes people do a double take and laugh. I was made fun of so much as a child and surprisingly it still happens as an adult. When I get the occasional "that's such a pretty name," I am so blown away and I always ask if they really mean it.

Because of that I can honestly say I am a more introverted person when first meeting people. I very rarely introduce myself because I just hate saying my name and the reactions I get. I constantly wonder what my parents were thinking when they named me.

So for all you parent-to-be out there, spell your kids' names as crazy as you want, just please please be sensitive to their self esteem. Imagine what it would be like with that name if you had to introduce yourself to people. Would you be embarrassed at all? It doesn't have to be a plain or common name, just put some thought into living with that name.

Back to their point about the chemicals...they may not use toxic chemicals in their cleaners but I went to buy some Method hand soap because they've got so many different scents, and looked at the ingredients only to find it has nasty sodium lauryl sulfate, a chemical which has raised some concerns. I think you have to walk the walk and be 100% chemical free if you're going to call out other companies for being toxic.

I haven't used this one but I've used "If You Care" brand recycled foil. It's super thin and tears very easily so as much as I'd love to sing it's praises, I don't like it and rarely use it.

Where can I find charcoal? I keep reading about it as an air purifier and I would like to try it.

I have to say I love this post because it shows so many different styles right next to each other to compare and contrast. I just bought my first home and I'm trying to think of what to do with it. I has beautiful built-ins and professional appliances (including a broken viking range) so I love seeing these ideas of how to add feeling to a stark white kitchen. I would love to see more posts of taking one element in a kitchen and different ways it is interpreted, instead of the kitchen as a whole.
