I know this is a little different, but here is one option for the sofa everyone (including me) is lusting after, and at $4200, its not "expensive".

Pottery barn's caterer's sets! For $88+tax, you get a set of twelve dinner plates and salad plates, and they look great. With the rest, you might get some great serving dishes. Have fun!

Mas de Bories makes really good olive oils and they have a great fruity taste. I use it for dressings and eating with warm bread.

I started off living in a 500sf one bedroom apartment, which, then felt comfortable. But once my circle of friends grew (I moved from India to the US, and so practically had no one I knew) that was getting a little too small for entertaining. Then I moved into an apartment slightly bigger than that at 650sf. And now I have a two bedroom 1550sf condo, but it feels empty. So, I guess as we move along our lives, our preception of how much room we need for "comfort" or bare minimum requirement varies.

I have no regret about living all alone in 1550sf though. I love it!

I rented both my previous homes after finding them on Craigslist, and bought my home that I found on Craigslist too.
As long as you know what you want and know how to deal with the kind of stuff and people you find in Craigslist, this is the best resource to find pretty much everything you want/need.

Do not know how flexible you are with regard to those metal(?) shades, but here is something similar from lightingdirect.com

http://www.lightingdirect.com/elk-lighting-10071-2-contemporary-modern-two-light-down-lighting-18-wide-bathroom-fixture-from-the-reflections-collection/p856812

May be you can call them and ask about stocks. They have a whole gamut of these fixtures and at very reasonable prices.

Could anyone please tell me where I can find slip covers for the chairs pictured?

I have a pair of really comfortable chairs exactly like that, but they are sun bleached and look really ugly.

You mentioned you ordered a Chesterfield from London and the price was still great.

Would you mind sharing a little more info on that?

Thanks!

May be stencil off some part of the mirror and frost the remaining area to give a "venetian mirror" effect?

Though can't say if that would match your style or not.

I lust after the La Cornue ranges from France. They do come in various sizes, so they would fit in most kitchens. As for their fit in pocket books, well, that's a different matter all togther.

Does any one have any experience with those beauties?

I think I will do a little more research into the option given by Zoe. It looks pretty similar, but substantially less expensive.

Thanks again!

This question might be a little off topic, but I was wondering if anyone of you could give me options for a console similar to the Pottery Barn's Apothecary Double sink console?
I love the style of the console, but at $2597 its out of my budget of $3K for a bath reno. Because I plan on retiling the bath and painting and updating the hardware and...

Thanks a ton!!

I love the concept of open shelving. Could anyone tell me how to re-create the look of Tyler Florence's kitchen where he hangs all his copperware on a rod. Would a curtain rod do or is it too flimsy to hold up all the copper?
I have a lot of copperware as well and would love to display them.
