Excellent contest! I was raised in a recycling household, so I either ask for paper over plastic or collect the plastic bags and take them to a recycling center. This year I bought a red Trader Joe's bag and have just recently started taking it to other grocery stores (some of them give you a discount if you bring your own bag). I love cooking for myself - no complaints, no overwhelming portions, and no one to laugh at me as I dance around the kitchen cooking dinner.
