no way. this will not bleach evenly, and will end up as a reddish, not-white mottled mess. buy a new one, or make do with a cute throw over it.

I had a laptop lunch bento box, but the quality of the plastic isn't awesome, especially if it's for a young and rough kid... so this is PERFECT!

If I'm not mistaken, that's actually OIL CLOTH!!!! Which makes it even smarter- I have some oil cloth in that exact print. So not only is it spunky, but it's wipeable, perfect for muddy shoes and boots.

how about popping the top, pouring a little out, adding simple syrup and lime, and sticking a popsicle stick in? That way it's not a sealed can to blow!

Folks, this is not a cloth vs. disposable debate. This is a huggies is cutting into what used to be solely our market debate. Pampers supplies hospitals. Almost all hospitals. Studies have found that parents who take home remnants of a pack of diapers from their hospital post-birth, tend to go out and keep buying pampers. Huggies has been putting out some stellar coupons, keeping their pricing under pampers, even if it's slightly so, and actually ran a good campaign with that whole jean diapers thing. I'm tired of people touting cloth diapers on a disposable thread. We know the options- you don't have to beat us over the head with it. I cloth- I am not a religious soldier for cloth. Try not to be, ok?

More importantly? The Rowley diapers are made with dri-max, which continues simultaneously give a lot of kids rash problems, and get bad press. Good luck, Pampers. You're going to need all the help you can get.

stupid Berry Chantilly cake from Whole Foods. I cannot figure out what they put in the creamy frosting, or in the spongey cake. Maybe Grand Marnier, I don't know. But we live 1.5 hours from WF, and everytime we come near it, cake comes home with us.

as far as I'm concerned, everyone needs some therapy. If I can raise my son so he only needs a LITTLE therapy, I'll give myself a pat on the back and a nice bowl of wine. Moderate Parenting: Shooting for Pretty Damn Good.

I get nervous about 'movements'. Attachment parenting, Slow Family Living. I might start my own movement. I'm going to call it "Moderate Parenting" and the mantra will be, "holy f*ck, just be reasonable."

Movements like this are just begging to be broken, like a strict rule. Don't want a disconnect? The end result might be grown children who resented your choices, and who felt overly-sheltered and segregated from their own childhood. Can we please stop placing labels on ourselves, our children, our family activities, and our lives, and simply be Moderate?

thanks for the tip, Daisy- we cloth diaper too. I use Rockin' Green detergent, and we clean the house with vinegar and lemon oil, so I don't know why I never thought to add it to the wash! Thanks!!!
