I have had this dream many times but it usually involves me finding the extra rooms by following my cat under the bed and discovering light coming from beneath the baseboard or from the back of the closet which I follow to huge, light-filled spaces. (Note to self: find apartment with more windows...)

Good Questions: Does Anyone Have This Dream?

Hi elizabeth in AL,

I'm assuming people aren't responding because none of us have been faced with your problem. I used to (sigh) have a dishwasher and when they installed it they screwed it up into my countertop with l-brackets that were already attached to the machine to stabalize it. If you get a butcher block with a bit of a lip that overhangs the edge of your dishwasher you should be able to attach it in a simliar fashion I would think - just screw up into the wood from underneath. Good luck!

Another alternative for your table that would add some fun and a nice pop of color to the kitchen would be to cover it with oilcloth. It's inexpensive and easy to cut/work with and could also be changed frequently if you tire of the pattern. http://oilcloth.com/cutandsewn.php
