Well, bramasoleiowa I sure wouldn't want to live in YOUR section of town knowing how welcome I'd be! BTW-- all the Liberal northerners retire down to Florida, so you'd probly fit right in.

The question to ask is, why did Billy sign a law he did not like?
You need to go back to CRA and Jimmuh Carter in 1977 designed to make available mortgages to those in disadvantaged neighborhoods. The law you mention was put forth by Gramm, but compromised by Dodd and Schumer, coincidence, that put more banks under CRA control.
The democrats stood in the way of any reasonable standards of traditional mortgage lending in 2002, 2003 and 2005 such as 20% down and 25% debt of gross income.
And what's wrong of Gramm to say that Americans have become "whiners", eh?
Just because we cannot afford a house we should have one?
BTW you neglect to mention Raines(100Mil bonus), Jim Johnson (50Mil bonus) and Jaime Gorelick(30Mil bonus), all Obama advisors.
The housing debacle was caused by people getting mortgages with no money down and 65% debt ratio.

France is run by Socialism. It isn't pretty. It's economy is awful.. America is becoming more and more Socialist-- with the Democrats taking us there. Now, because of Freddie Mac & Fanny Mae loans, the laws of which were put into place with Bill Clinton's help and other Liberal Democrats-- our economy has come to the brink of disaster. Did you know that because of these laws, home loans were given out to people who could not afford them, even to illegals? And Barak Obama who got lots of money through this, wants to become our President? He believes in the redistribution of wealth--stealing from Peter to pay Paul. THAT is Socialism!

Hi Aimie, such a pretty name! I just think your place looks beautiful! You obviously have good taste and I think your colors are lovely and the furniture blends well with them. (I like your living room especially).

Great job!

Your kitty looks sweet, and happy!

Thanks for the pictures.

Hmm, I'm not quite sure why you look at the windows as evil. I look at it as a welcome natural light source. Especially in an office. I had windows like this in a bedroom, and for privacy during the day I put some quality textured vinyl covering directly on them, which still let light in but totally blocked the view from outside. I hung long drapes over them, because it was a bedroom, but still had my lightsource during the day. I wouldn't hang long drapes in an office, but if you're going to use it as a guestroom, perhaps. The Roman shade idea sounds good and easy, but not as fancy as drapes if that's the look you want. Curtains the length of the windows might be more fitting for an office. (Just my humble opinion, of course, since I'm not a designer).

I read the article, and there are some great ideas in it especially if you're on a tight budget as I am. We recently moved and our bedroom is one very large rectangular shaped room. We have a library set up at one end with a loveseat, and the other half with the bed, dressers, etc. We wanted to use our previous bedroom curtains but needed to order another pair for the extra set of windows but Country Curtains stopped making them. They were very expensive, lined 100% cotton. We have another pair of curtains that were from the living room, but they are a solid sage green. The bedroom's are a vintage rose. Is it OK to use 2 different types of curtains in one large open room like that? Or perhaps I ought to think about sheets? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

This is just beautiful! I love your choice of Danish furnishings, the way you decorate is fabulous, and it all looks just so sleek and classy. The living room is FAB, and I really like the little white table & chairs set up by the large window with that cart in the background. I also love how you took that turquoise counter top in the kitchen and used the orange on the walls like that--what a great idea! Great job!

Hello Supon,

You said you do not agree with some of our comments.. which ones would they be?

Yes we are reactive, as we are human beings and God made us that way. But we are not reacting to political imagery, as you say, but to another human being who is a murderer of other human beings. If we were heartless beings we would not care, and we would be like the Communist Dictator Mao. Do you approve of him? You didn't say so. It's not about putting up a picture, it's about what you believe that leads you to do so.

As for replacing it with McCain or Obama--they haven't murdered anyone far as I know, and it is rather shocking that you do not see a difference between them and Mao. We live in a free country, not under a murderous Communist dictatorship and we want to keep it that way. Most people come here because that's what they want, too. I hope that's why you came here.

I like your place, and your choice of art looks really great in it. I too especially like your living room. That sheepskin rug under the end table cracks me up, though. I also love the headboard on your bed.

I love this room, and the old furniture in it--it's great! As far as I'm concerned, when someone gives you something, it's yours to do with what you wish. If they make stipulations beforehand, if you don't agree with them, don't accept!
