I would never even have thought to keep the rings on either the cups or the spoons. I am totally shocked that people do that!

I keep a small dry erase board on my fridge and list all the produce and some other perishables that are inside. It cuts down on me staring at the shelves with the doors open, and less food goes bad because I'm regularly reminded of what I need to use up--salad mix, open package of tofu, half a cucumber, etc.

I have one, but I never would have chosen it myself. I have no need to blast food off of dishes, and the water pressure is so high it makes a huge mess. I can't even get a glass of water without splashing all over the place. I don't even want to think about how much water it's wasting. I do like that I can pull out the nozzle to use like a pot filler, but that's the only plus in my book!

I use a cherry/olive pitter all the time, and another unitasker I have is a corn stripper. I got really tired of getting corn all over the place and also worried I was going to stab myself slicing the knife down the cob, so it's totally worth it during the summer. Oh, strawberry huller too. I have an old tiny little tweezer type one, which takes no space, and is so worth it. It gets on my nerves when people slice off the top third of the strawberry to get the stem off--so much wasted berry!

Oh, please tell me Trader Joe's has halloumi! I love it but can't justify the $10-12 cost very often.

to address greymase's question . . . these mattresses (and any memory foam i guess) are not very good for anything besides sleeping. your knees just sink in too much. on the plus side, the frame is really high and the mattress is super thick so it's pretty comfortable if one of you is standing on the floor.

we've been sleeping on a keetsa for a couple years. we bought one of the tea leaf mattresses. in the store it felt wonderful but at home i found it way too firm, like LiliZ. after a few weeks we ended up buying one of the "comfort layers"--i think the "luxurious" one--and that changed everything. i was instantly in love with the bed, and still am. so our purchase ended up being a lot more expensive, but we sleep better than ever before, so it's been worth it.
