The doll heads remind me of this Halloween set-up in photographer John Purlia's house of a headless doll strategically placed beneath Ana Bagayan's painting "The Irrationality and Inevitability of Being a Puppet."

For those of you interested in vintage toys (and music too), there is a great exhibit going on right now at New Puppy Gallery in LA called "And The Beat Goes On." It includes the work of photographer John Purlia who uses vintage toys, records, books, and album covers to create a still-life narrative.
