I primarily eat my oats savory. Poached egg with soy sauce, sesame seeds and oil, and green onions is the one most often lately. Others are poached egg with whatever cheese is laying around, and peas with parmesan and pepper. Rethinking Oatmeal: 7 Savory Morning Recipes |

I love eggs in purgatory as a quick weeknight meal, but my favorite way to eat eggs is fried (runny yolk please) over steel cut oats. With a little soy sauce and green onions, it is delicious for any meal. 15 Fresh Ways to Eat an Egg Recipe Roundup |

Funny, this just came up in my RSS reader while I am sitting here drinking a glass of The Saint. I like it. I too never really developed a taste for beer, but love ciders. One local brewery here in WA, Fish Brewing Company, also makes some good ciders. I love their Dark & Dry. I have tried some other local ciders and they are getting pretty good. Nice to see them appearing to gain some ground. Put the Beer Aside: Crispin Hard Apple Cider |

I stopped eating pasta a few years ago before I discovered much of the alternative types of pastas. I now treat myself to those every once in a great while, but I am mostly pasta free. Most of the time I have my pasta sauce over quinoa, and leftover sauce for lunch over chickpeas. No Noodles: 6 Gluten-Free Ways to Eat Pasta Sauce |

I have two sets of these that I've been using for the better part of a year. I love them. They seal tight for taking lunch to work, they stack well in the cabinet, and the lids even work as a trivet of sorts. A few of the lids are showing some staining, but that is to be expected with the tomato based foods I put in them at times. Round Glass Storage Containers from Anchor Hocking Daily Find |

I have the OXO one pictured and love it too. We use it at least 1-2 times a week for salad or chard. I found another use for it though....the little point on the inside of the bowl is perfect to rest a corn cob on to cut the corn off. And the bowl is a great size and height to catch it all. We have this basket at one of our Fred Meyer stores that has quite the cheese counter (sadly, not the one closest to me). They label the basket it "petite fromage." Another local gourmet store has this concept as well. Frugal Tip: Cheese Odds and Ends at Whole Foods |

I broil with the door open (that's what my Mom taught me too). I take Alton Brown's advice and use a foil "snake" to prop the door open a little. It stays in the cupboard above my stove. Without it, I feel my oven door is open too wide. Best Results! Broil with the Oven Door Ajar | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I was making my second cheesecake in two days. The first time I had the hardest time keeping the batter in the largest bowl that I had (it was short and wide and the mixer sprayed the batter everywhere). So for the second one, I grabbed an old pot of my boyfriend's that we never used. As I was mixing, I noticed little black flecks through the batter....and it wasn't vanilla. The teflon coating was coming off of the inside of the pan. Needless to say, I ended up with one cheesecake and the old pot went in the garbage.
