I always have a piece of toast before working out in the morning. I change up the toppings (nutella, jam, honey or pb) so it doesn't get old. Just enough to get me going but never makes me feel heavy. Best Work-Out Snacks: What Do You Eat Before Exercising? |

Olives, avocados, eggplant, anything licorice flavored, onions, raw celery, deviled eggs, cottage cheese, bleu cheese, sardines, tuna fish, anchovies, water chestnuts, un-melted shredded cheese (not the same as when it's melted), pears, watermelon, grapefruit, lemon-flavored anything, beer, black-eyed peas, lima beans/butter beans, beef jerky, grits, cooked greens. I'm actually so much better about being picky, but most of these I will not eat even if there are no other choices. Maybe some day... This cookbook would have been helpful when my 4th grade class held a Little House on the Prairie lunch! Oh the memories...
