indiasoup: I stand at my workstation because of a muscle injury that is controlled by sitting as little as possible - not because the 1400 square foot space that I live in requires it. I actually use my closets for clothes.

katiebug: the workstation doesn't look cheap. The white one actually would blend in quite well on a white wall.

The wood appears to be teak.

Excellent post. I live one town away from Zimman's and have been going there for years. I have two recommendations for anybody who visits Zimman's for the first time:

1) Plan to spend several hours because it is overwhelming. Browse the fabrics then go have lunch and come back because it is almost impossible to make a decision on your first try.

2) Buy enough fabric for your project because once it is gone, it is gone.

Great apartment, I particularly love the bed and kitchen.

You obviously put a lot of planning into the planning of your choices. However, I think it would actually look better if you didn't make and change art to match your color scheme - art and books are so much more intriguing when they are based on your interests rather than your color scheme.

I could cut back on the time I spend reading AT - a lot.

The apartment is cute but I'm getting tired of the wall sticker fad.

I like the decorating a lot, very creative use of the floorplan, which I personally don't like at all because it appears to be very inconvenient.

Really nice and comfortable. I like the the fact that your bookshelves give a library-look by being actually filled with books that don't look like decorative items.
