I recommend the BBC recipe website for everything-British recipes (that's the site my British friends always refer me to). Good luck!

I had one of the wodden ikea dishrack in my first flat. I was there one year and by the time I left the rack was still in good shape. When I moved on my own, I bought the $10 Ikea extendable dishrack. I've had it for 4 years now and it's still a charm. I don't understand why one would pay $80 for this, but that's just me.

I hate doing the dishes so a little help is always appreciated. On the plus size, that's what my dishwasher usually is there for. :)

#RickM: I think it's because there's plenty of fat to be found in the cheese already so there's no need to add butter or oil to thhe recipe. :)

I don't care for cleaning as I go. I put everything in the sink as I go and when I'm done and we've had dinner, I put everything in the dishwasher and BAM! all taken care of. If I'm in someone else's kitchen, I'll abide by their rules, mind you, but in my own kitchen (and I don't have that much useful counter space; it's mostly corners), the cleaning can wait after I've reap the rewards of my hard work.

*shrugs* all they had to do was put the jar in their luggage and not in their carry on. I mean It does make sense that if we're not allowed more than 3 oz on gels/liquids *per container* in the cabin, 6 oz of frosting is kinda nebulous. Or you could carry the frosting in seperate squeeze bottles. :)

The bright lemon yellow on golden brown for the hyperlinks is god-awful on the eyes. And the fonts and fonts sizes are very unapealing. I didn't go on AT much (only for some unplggd posts) but I won't be visiting anymore since there's no linkage at the bottom of the posts. And I tried the search field and I got a 404 error for almost all the items found. And while I'm at it, an advanced search engine would do you great. The search results are always a mess to dig through. /2 cents

Regarding genmaicha (aka popcorn or brown rice tea), I'd first make sure the person knows what they're getting into. To a lot of people genmaicha smells like a field doused with cow dung/something fermenting (and not in a good way). :)

If you want healthy, generally avoid the crackers/snacks, ramen, sweets and chips aisles. And beware of mochi as some brands don'to even include glutinous rice in their recipe. A quality soy sauce or sesame oil is a good idea, or you could build 'make your own sushi' packages (rice vinegar, nori sheets, rolling mats, sushi rice, toasted sesame, panko, kewpie mayo, etc.). Some good teas (bags or tins, not the prebottled, overly sweetened stuff). Miso is also great.
