definitely white - although there are lots of colors i don't like right now, that doesn't mean it won't seem retro-cool to me in 10 years or so! look how big that 80's teal has come back - and i actually like it now. i think it's about context - i wouldn't like the teal in a miami vice setting, but in a new context it can work!

Rapunzel - I got the green channel-back chair from a yard sale, and I also have a beautiful yellow one with original upholstery that I found at an estate sale. The best place to find those type chairs are at estate sales in neighborhoods with 1950's -1960's ranch homes. Many of those homeowners have lived there since they built their homes and have their original formal living room sets that were rarely sat on!
