I actually acquired my grandparents' marble-top table and have been fretting over whether to paint its wooden base or not. While I may not paint the wooden base black, I would like to thank "Mr Lively" for showing me (at the very least) that with a little imagination and courage, a beautiful marble table can successfully be updated. Not fancy, but Yellow Tail Shiraz is very drinkable. Goes well with pasta, steak, and has a bold enough flavor to eat with strong foods. Personally, I love bead curtains. If this were my space, I would hang bead curtains in the space between the bedroom and the terrace. This would allow light into the bedroom while still creating a private space. (Since there isn't a photo from the bedroom to the terrace or vice versa, it is harder to imagine what the space's issue is.) How Can I Create a (Semi-)Private Bedroom? Good Questions |

It is too interesting an architectural detail to knock out and fill back in. If it isn't reasonable to knock it out to the other side, I would install a mosaic either myself or hire a ceramic artist. What Can I Do with Shallow Wall Niche? Good Questions |

I love the china I inherited from my grandmother. My only cousin (female), my brother and I split the china we liked between the three of us, and we donated the sets we did not like as much.
