What a beautiful room! I love how you used gold in the nursery (that mirror!), without compromising the serene feel of the white. I will definitely draw on this for inspiration on our next nursery! Quinn Evie's Serene Space My Room |

Great design, but I don't see how the (unfenced) pool just outside the sliding glass doors is kid-friendly! Seems a little dangerous? Marmol Radziner Designs with Kids & Outdoors in Mind Los Angeles Times |

Tina Catherine. Born Sept 1, 198? I don't know why, but I remember her birthday!!! She was also a red head with green eyes. I didn't want any particular one at the time, just wanting one very much. I believed that they were all different and that the adoption was serious business! I got it (her) on my birthday in 1984 I think? My best memories though are playing with the CPK clothes that my grandmother knitted for her! A jacket, a sweatsuit, a dress. I still have them tucked away to share with my daughter one day. we love the kidishes tumblers- basically unbreakable, stackable, perfectly-sized for little hands, and blend in nicely with our glasses. Good Real Cups for Small Kids Good Questions |

my mother and step-father have been doing this for years! They purchased a small wooden cabinet with a glass door (think medicine cabinet that can be placed on the floor) and affixed tiny hooks to the walls behind the small shelves. Then they hung each key. They also have a small white tag hanging from each one with the location and date. While they have a ton of key cards, they also have some pretty interesting keys from hotels around the world (tassles, brass objects, etc...) so it makes for an interesting and eye-catching display/conversation piece. Good luck with your collection! Creative Use for Collection of Hotel Key Cards? Good Questions |

Others have mentioned similar ideas for baby gift bags, but for the "happy birthday" bags that we get, we donate the gently used ones to www.birthdaywishes.org, who hold birthday parties for homeless children. They're in MA, NY and RI, but I wonder if there are similar organizations around the country? What To Do With Dozens of Gift Bags? Good Questions |

TJMaxx, bargain/sale section of chain (borders0 and local bookstores, amazon (vendors selling gently used books) and target! Good luck. I know it's hard to build up that library! I also registered for books when I was pregnant and if people ask what they can get on a birthday/holiday, I always say "books please!!!" ICED CUBE SILVER!!!!!!!!!!!! By Benjamin Moore. It's the color on our bedroom walls. I am a HUGE fan of gray and love this color because it is such an unassuming and peaceful shade. Definitely leans towards the "cooler" gray's (i.e.- undertones of blues). We accented ours with white (China White) but I imagine other colors would work as well. Also available in a test pot. Good luck! Looking for the Perfect Gray Paint Good Questions |

I bought four faux-leather cube ottomans at Target. They were on clearance for around $40/each. While not the nicest things ever (pleather!), they are certainly functional at this point in our lives. We got rid of the old coffee table and pushed the 4 cubes together. Extra seating, flexible floor plan (can be pushed to the sides of the room to create a bigger playspace), and STORAGE!!!! I love the end of the day when we just toss all the toys into the cubes and my DH and I get our "adult space" back! When Your Living Room is Your Play Room |

you could take the fabric apart from the cushioning and use it to make a banner for his room. Just cut out triangles from the fabric and sew it to a piece of ribbon, you could even use the bumper ties as the ties on the end and hang it in his room/play room. If you want to mix things up a bit, get other fabric scraps in coordinating colors. Good luck! Ways to Repurpose a Crib Bumper Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
