OK. I'm going to be the only voice of craziness here. I like it. I like the color, the wood, the exposed bulbs. Would I ever pay $1300 for it? No. Would I pay $400? No , but I'm still glad someone is making sort of odd sort of ugly stuff that gives me good ideas for making my own sort of odd sort of ugly stuff...even if my odd stuff is free and comes from behind someones garage. I like it, but also wonder about winter when the leaves are down showing my bits to the world? I love the tub - and I also hated the before, a lot. Before & After: Contemporary Bathroom Remodel |

love the list - my dad drinks chartreuse. According to family lore, French monks make it and guard the secret recipe. He used to give it to us as kids to make us never want to drink again. All I Want for Christmas: Nancy's Holiday Wishlist |

Funny, i was looking at the first picture and thinking the same thing about it being not quite dynamic...i like it but always wonder about actually walking into a room like that - would it just feel stark? Dynamic Dining Rooms from Our House Tours |

There are a lot of talented people out there, who can make kelly green work so wonderfully - and any other color in the rainbow - it just so happens I'm not one of them. My, now history, kelly green wall just reminded people of a putting green. A very, very green, putting green. Color Spotlight: Kelly Green |

When we were house hunting, I found things like playing music and the fake food and place settings to be way too contrived for me and didn't annoy so much as I noted they were silly and since we bought a house with none of that - didn't make much of a difference. Music to Sell a House |

@dempsern, i always wonder that about things like this wallpaper, but also things from Ikea that look really nice and plush in pictures.... And rooms that are beautiful in a picture, what would it be like to actually walk into some of them - the white rooms especially - would it feel cold and totally unlivable? in person - the real, tactile, experience.... It's very, very cool, but as someone in the middle of finishing an old house's basement, I can assure you that it would be really expensive, unless you have the most creative contractor in the world! Which I apparently do not.... Inspiration: Under Stair Storage |

We have 2 of the home depot versions on a former door-now -headboard in our room, and they are holding up fine. They can get hot, so be careful. We got some low wattage small bulbs or it was way too bright for nighttime reading. Cool Lighting for Under $8 |

DahliaCactus - I'm with you. We have a falling down detached garage - but will still need a garage here in Minneapolis - but would love more living space and prefab/modern. Any ideas/links out there for garage/living space/creative solutions? Rethinking Urban Density: 10 Backyard Cottages Roundup |

Yeah! Love the garden addition to AT. I think a great option would be taking a picture of someone's actual yard and give some basic design ideas for the yard...most of us have very similar shapes etc, and good ideas but no good basis for how to actually do it - I'd volunteer my back yard! I've had one of these for about 2 years, we like it OK, but keep it inside all year. I don't know what climate you'd have to live in to keep it outside all the time, but here in MN there's no way. They bake in any direct sun and freeze the rest of the year... Otherwise, they live in my very unfinished basement. I didn't have any trouble with them till my beer brewing hubby added a bunch of barley, and then the fruit flies and some smell started.
