I second the margaritas idea. I used tons of leftover sauce this way last year. Just add tequila, lime juice & triple sec.

I also made cranberry sauce crumbles and mixed in demi glace with the sauce to serve over venison chops.

I don't get the appeal of the rusty knives in the seventh one. I guess it looks cool in the photo, but that would be really strange in person.

That 3rd stove isn't vintage. It's an Aga Legacy, and it's a super high-test range. Very popular in Europe.

I'd run a cup of vinegar through on the hottest cycle.

If you feel like your washer needs to be cleaned, you might be using too much soap or closing your washer door between cycles?

Most people use enough soap that it remains in their clothing and if they ran it through the washer, it would suds without any additional soap!

I would suggest bringing a magnet to the store when shopping for cookware for induction. If the magnet sticks to it, it will work.

In the same way that you don't have to wait for the burner to cool down on an induction cooktop, you get the responsiveness of gas in an electric unit, for those not outfitted for gas.

It might be more expensive, but steam dryer cycles let you kill dust and germs from nonwashables like stuffed animals and decorative pillows. I love mine!

Merry 123,

I like using my iTouch as a digital recipe reader. There are tons of great recipe apps where you can save your favorites to pull up when you need them. I have hundreds. I can even type my own creations into the Notes app.

My "recipe cards" are stain-resistant AND they play music.

I agree with your soap pick. I love the smell of Caldrea hand soap -- especially after chopping a bunch of onions.
