I made my own. As in a previous comment, I think a major drawback for baggu is the separate bags that would surely get lost here. Mine are very sturdy but small, hold more than I'm comfortable carrying from our nearest grocery store, and fold up and closes with a rubber band.

Good idea! I refuse plastic cups (for single use, at least) but a glass jar would also do the trick.

Interesting how different our experiences from flipping through it is. My lasting impression is that the one who has the most things (neatly stored in really cheap storage solutions of course) when he dies, wins.

I'm not interested in entering the debate on formula/breast milk. However there is a WHO code that US has agreed to take steps to implement, that regulates the way to *market* products that promote formula feeding to parents of children under 6 months. It's not allowed, however parents who want or need formula shall find *information* about it. This is because there are big money for companies such as Nestlé in having parents feed their infants formula, but little to no money in breastfeeding and no commercial gain at all in promoting breastfeeding.

I'm quite dissapointed to find this post at Apartment therapy. It might or might not be a violaton to the code, since AT aren't selling these themselves, but never the less this is promoting formula feeding.

Here is a link to the code:

Both! If I want it to go with a pie for example, I'll likely use bought ice cream. But, since we have allergies towards dairy and eggs in the family and even soy based products are off limits, I make the bulk of our ice cream. It does save money and it tastes better than the few boring oats based ice creams that are avaliable here.

I have breakfast at the kitchen table, with the rest of my family. If I'm in a rush, I eat it alone before my hubby and kids come to the table, but usually we all sit down together. I can count the times I've had something on the go on one hand and I'm 31 years old. Breakfast is that important to us.

Where Do You Eat Your Breakfast?

With 4 persons eating all meals at home, we run it at least once a day.

I prefer old-fashioned bicykle generators. Why fuel something you can run on your own movement?

I'm fortunate enough to have all hand-made cutting boards in wood. I crave a new one, a smaller, and it will be made from a part of the pear tree that was taken down on our yard by our landlord yesterday. I was quick to get out there and request some nice pieces. :) The other ones are also made from all new wood acquired in the same way, but made by my in-laws.

I'm making vegetable bouillion, thanks for the tip! Otherwise I have an ambition to eat less meat, and with a breastfed baby that we have discovered is allergic to dairy and eggs, I'm checking out vegan recipes now. Today will be sesame rolled chickpea balls with tomato sauce and millet.

I've stopped eating 'regular' chicken long ago, and learned to make do without a lot of my previous favorite meals. I think that along with thiss decision, one might also consider eggs, since egg-laying hens are treated no better than chicken and ecological eggs are tastier.

Similar function, but your find seems better to warm ones hands on. I love pouring myself a cup of tea after the kids have gone to bed, bring a small muffin or cookie on the plate and enjoy some quiet time on the sofa.

Finally got around to making this. It turned out great, though a bit salty. Next time, I'll have more water in the broth. I used a medium spiced salsicha.

A bowl of yoghurt with homemade granola, a cup of tea, a glas of orange juice. It's a typical weekday breakfast for me. On weekends, I include bread with butter/cheese and half a grapefruit, and make my own juice from what I have at home.

My first thought is that I'd never buy a new bike that would require so much work to become legal where I live. No front or rear lights, no front or rear reflexes. This does remind me though that I should get to the basement and do some maintenance on my old bike. :) And I LOVE the bags on the first bike, thinking of making my own version!

Raven, that sounds interesting, but I wonder what you mean by "Europe"? There are quite a few countries here, and very different cultures when it comes to coffee making.

I voted other - because I hardly buy clothes. I make my own in a mix of reuse, new non-organic and organic fabrics.
