For me, the best part of a Drumstick (apart from the chocolate "plug") was the ribbon of caramel down the center. I'm actually grateful they don't make this version anymore, since I'm pretty much powerless to resist them! Sigh. Yes, my favorite squishy chair + ottoman, painstakingly upholstered in a print that would fit perfectly in Don and Megan Draper's apartment, is also my cat's favorite chair. He claimed it with his blankets of shedded fur, so he gets it. Do You Have a Piece of Furniture You Love but Never Use? |

And they're at Amy's Bakery in NYC too! In fact, Joanne Chang of Boston's Flour Bakery loved Amy's version so much she made a version of her own - it's in the Flour cookbook. So jazzed that the whole country loves this awesome combo. Dessert Recipe: Cornmeal Lime Cookies Recipes from The Kitchn |

Faith, you're reading my mind! Our kitchen renovation is still a pipe dream (five years into owning this house) but marble has always been on my WANT list despite its finicky nature. Count me in the camp who LOVES text-based art - and I don't care if it's a fad, I've been adding it to my home for more than a decade because it really speaks to me (see what I did there?). The piece in the inspiration room above looks like one of artist Christopher Wool's works, which some of you might also dig: http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/art/all/01055/facts.christopher_wool.htm Word for Word: Quotes for Your Walls |

I'm cracking up at all of these stories. My mom was so excited to show me her new, sharp knives - and then pulled out her ancient GLASS CUTTING BOARD to start the prep work. I just about cried. How To Cope With Your Parents' Dull Knives |

Wow. We're heading into our second low-heat winter (we keep the thermostat at 60˚F so it comes on very infrequently, enough to keep the pipes from freezing) and all our friends and family think we're insane - I'm so glad to read other peoples' stories! Lucky girl - I haven't gotten my hand on Jeni's ice cream book yet but I have no doubt it will shoot to the top of my rotation. You guys picked a lot of the ones I turn to often - Canal House, King Arthur, Ad Hoc, Chez Panisse - and I'll add Mario Batali's Italian Grill to that list, if just for refresher idea on grill sauces and marinades. 12 of Our Favorite Cookbooks for Summer |
