For a long time now I have been keeping my bed mattress on the floor with out a bed frame or a box spring. When I got a frame it just was not the same anymore and it did not feel right to me so I send the frame back!

I seen the Owl Umbrella Stand once in a store before and fell in LUF with it. But I forgot where it was. Now it is here and once again I can rejoice while crying about its $$.

I have that one for about a year now. And it is all good and pretty looking next to my window.
Not shoddy at all. In fact, it is hard as a rock.....really. Hard to sleep on for me, but then again, I'm not the one sleeping on it. Other people said they are ok with it.
It was easy to put together. Also, it has a fun zipper that hold the two cushions together and good storage on the bottom.
Over all, I like it!

I just got that doormat about two weeks ago. It’s a bit $$ but soooo worth it.
Most of the time it’s on the “come in” but our neighbors right under us are allergic to noise so every time something slips from my hand and hits the floor I run to the door and flip the mat to “go away.” I don’t think it would really make my neighbor think twice about knocking on my door but it’s still fun.

Hmmm I never looked at it that way where keeping my art all over my walls would be disliked by any of my family and friends. (I’m going to ask around) I don’t think I’ll ever see it that way.
Art is not a cheap accessory and prints just don’t cut it for me. Same thing goes with having my art work at my parents, bothers and so on homes.
Also, when an artist puts his or hers art work up in more than one room in the house it unifies the whole place by having almost like a theme. The featured home shows that perfectly.
I just moved in to my new place and my art work is not up yet-plus I’m working on some paintings that would be specific to the rooms that they will be in. So no pictures of my place just yet. But I would gladly show you some when I’m done.

People could be trained. I hate, HATE! shoes in the house. I don’t care how small or how big the party is, if there is snow outside or rain or even if you have magical powers and you floated to the party-- shoes are off!

Keep telling them nicely to take them off every time you see them with shoes on. After all they are your friends so they should understand you.

Sooner or later they will take them off without you saying anything and point out to other friends to do the same thing. Also they will see the Mount Everest made of shoes when they walk in the door.

If everyone takes their shoes off then you won’t have a swamp to start out with and I don’t care if socks on the coffee table. The floor is to cold… give them some slippers (make sure that you have slippers that look like http://www.zappos.com/product/7346200/color/113 or http://www.zappos.com/daniel-green-dormie-white and http://www.crazyforbargains.com/pobeslformew.html for people who like to have fun)

Oh and don’t be a hypocrite, when you are at their party take your shoes off (and a big benefit to you would be if they are there looking at you taking them off.)

As for your furniture. Cover it up or put it away. You love your carpet then roll it up and sick it away from people.

It could be done.. I’m in my 20’s (low) and most of my friends are around that age. Even with all the “laws” people are still having a good time and always come back.

I love the greens in #5 and #8.
I would like to mix them and then I would put them on the floor so it looks like grass and have the walls large white tiles.
Wonder if it would be hard to clean them. hmm

Well for me there is no one answer.
The internet if I want to see what is outside. Or want will be outside.
The old school thermometer if I want to see what is happening at home (even if I feel it on my skin)
But I do have Weather Channel Wireless Temperature Station at home too............
