This is Amy over at Daisy's room and i must say, one good vote deserves another!

I love your paint choice, and the fact that majority of the room was a culmination of great finds and DIY projects. This room looks lived in and loved for and that's why I'm voting for it : )

Oh! And the Ikea bookshelf I don't know the name of, but I went to try and find it on their website and couldn't find it anywhere! Maybe they stopped making it?

Thanks guys for all your lovely comments!

This room actually is very small, but being a professional photographer I have those great wide angle lenses!

The bed I bought at a garage sale for $20. We took it home, stripped and refinished it and then went to buy a mattress, only to find out it once was a crib from Europe around the turn of the century! Thank goodness it was only $20 because buying a custom mattress for it was ridiculous!

The ice cream lamp my husband built after we saw the same one that someone posted above. We thought we could do it cheaper, and so we found a large ice cream cone piggy bank for $5 and went from there!

The elephant we bought at HomeGoods and the dollhouse we got from The Land of Nod

Thanks for voting!!

These are super cute, but I agree that the prices are a bit much.

I was able to find some real cute fabric at Hobby Lobby not too long ago that had a pattern of all the states printed on it. Now my 3 year old not only knows many of the states, but also what they're known for (each state has a little illustration in or around it, i.e. Texas has a cowboy). I think I paid $15 for two fabric to make two pillow cases. That's my kind of spendin'

I too had no clue! What else can I say except that I saw everyone else do it, so I assumed that's what you did in an online community!! Phew, I'm so glad I saw this post!

Ahhh! I love Kiawah. My family has been going there since I was young, and my husband and I chose to tie the knot on their beach.

The thing I love most about Kiawah is that you are so astounded by its beauty that you put down your computer/phone/ipod/remote control and hop on a bike to explore!

YES! I have had my eye on these ever since they came out at Pottery Barn a few years ago. They sold out like crazy and once I had convinced myself spending $110 for a basket was worth it I couldn't ever find a honey colored large elephant anywhere!

I haven't looked for a while though, I guess I gave up- BUT, I was at the PB outlet just yesterday and found a super cute white colored large teapot basket that was used for the same thing, perhaps an alternate option? (I'm not sure if

I'd also check ebay!

Good luck!!!

I found an adorable kids white wood picnic table at Target for $50, it was in the patio section. It was a piece of cake to put together and the kids have eaten on it every day since!

These are super cool, but heck, go buy a regular holga for $12 and have the kid spend the rest of the money, on film. The film alone is quite expensive, not to mention the developing fees . . . .man, it kills me when they charge that much for a plastic camera. What kills me more though is how much I'd love to have it!

Absolutely beautiful. My husband is an illustrator/graphic designer and would be so inspired by these! I really hope they get published!

my dad had a crib just like that, which I later inhabited, and then eagerly accepted it for for my babies! The rails aren't up to code anymore, but hey, we have to sacrifice for style sometimes, and anyways, two generations have survived it . . . .

I think my only issue with the movie was the fact that many of the characters wouldn't confront their problems. nearly every character was faced with an issue that was uncomfortable to them, and majority of the time they shoved it aside, rather than dealing with it. I know it's supposed to be a child's take on issues, but at what age do we expect them to be able to handle problems? I definitely don't have any problems showing my kids melancholy movies, as long as the message is clear, but this message, or quiet realization, only comes in the last 5 mins of the movie, and most of the time kids are asleep by then! I heartily agree that this film isn't necessarily meant for children, but I guess no one ever said it was . . .
