I just bought a laptop sleeve for my 13" MacBook Pro from bertie's closet. It's well-made and looks cool, and I would imagine that same would be true for their other cases.

@CordeliaWren: I am currently sitting on one of the 24" stools I bought on Overstock. I really like them, and they seem to be of good quality. However, they are painted silver, and are not bare metal as they appear in the pictures, though I read the reviews and knew that going in.

It's a rental apartment, so the wall stays. The apartment is bright, even with the wall blocking most of the windows. I think blue is the way to go, or a cool pattern if I can find one. I will see about moving some of the art - I will be hanging my bike on the wall to basically to the left of where I took the first picture, so will how it all fits together.

I posted the question, and thanks for the suggestions so far! I like the idea with going with blue - I was thinking about it, but wasn't sure if it was too boring. I look forward to reading more comments.

@home body: The partition wall faces my entryway, and it's the first thing you see when you come into my apartment, so I wanted to make my art a focus. I'm afraid if I move it, it will be lost - my ceilings are over 11' tall.

@idontdobeige: The "bedroom" just fits my bed and a nightstand, so switching is not really an option.

@Christina Marie Interiors: I am looking into getting a pendant. I can snag some antique ones from my grandparents that are just sitting in my parents' garage.

@Dulcibella: I just want to say that one of my favorite things about my apartment is that it's not dark - the windows face south, so it's really bright. I think it's just my older, well-loved camera at work here.

does this also allow you to use you android phone as a itunes remote, like the remote app for the iphone? otherwise, i can live without wireless syncing.

i use the doubletwist app - it is the most ipod-like free app in terms of use and design that i found for android, and has lock screen controls. that said, the iphone is FAR superior when it comes to playing music - there's no comparison. i have a motorola backflip that a friend gave me after my iphone was stolen. it's better than no phone though...

i have the first cuckoo clock by diamantini & domeniconi. it has both a light sensor so it will not go off during the night, and a switch to turn the cuckoo off altogether.

Nice job, and you gave me some ideas for my 275 sq. ft. apartment. One thing that I like most about this space is that it looks attainable - anyone could do this, without having to own your apartment, or knock down walls, etc.

I backup my entire drive to an external drive weekly, and backup certain folders to xDrive. I used to use Mozy for online backup, but their service for Macs stopped working one day. I was studying for the bar, so I didn't want to take any chances, so I switched.
