Lau in Belgium's Profile

In Northern Europe, at least in Brussels, proper reupholstering (not recovering) will cost 2000€ (2500 USdollars) for a bergère armchair.
I am talking about the full reupholstering by a crafstman qualified to work on antique furniture, using traditional tecniques and noble materials such as virgin wool and horse hair for filling. Handstitching only. But that's for old-school aren't-we-Europeans-annoying-with-our posh-tastes work.
Recovering a modern armchair can be done for around 600 € fabric included. This is for stapling the fabric onto a woodplank bottom.
The two concepts are as far apart as haute couture and getting a J Crew dress shortened :)

Every single day: it has replaced all paper magazines and paperback books, my language lessons are on it. I stream music from the iPad while driving. I take notes at meetings silently with it. I refuse to use my corporate Blackb*rry to read and review documents (the screen is the size of a post stamp), so I forward them to my iPad for more comfort. My post-it notes and shopping lists are on the iPad. It is also my address book. On my train commute back home, I'll check Facebook and Twitter, place my order to the supermarket, read the newspapers or check email. Arrived at home, it goes right into the kitchen where I use it as a recipe book. I often read from the iPad in the evenings. The weather forecast or maps I immediately check online.

Maybe I specifically fit the profile of the "ideal iPad user" as I own an iMac and a "normal" phone, not a smartphone. Those are still exaggeratedly expensive here in Belgium.

You've already achieved a lot!
If I may:
- All of the furniture should be white, or dark, but not the two together: they kill one another. I'd go for all white.
- get rid of the framed artwork.
- Your sheets look a bit greenish. they're beautiful but maybe just half a tone off against the wall color.
- I would place the bed head against the wall which is on your left, looking outside the window. I just feel sleeping with my head so near the open door is not really "feng shui".
- It's a pity that this big TV screen is in front of your window.
