As a safety issue, I wouldn't put heavy framed pictures, fronted with glass, unsecured on a ledge right above my bed. You've also got the head of the bed right under a window. Seattle is in an earthquake zone! James' Seattle Apartment With NYC Style House Tour |

"Since he and his family are now spending most of their time in Miami, he decided to rent out this apartment to families on short-term visits to NYC. The open plan makes it flexible, and the outdoor screening room plus pool makes it an urban fantasy for a person of any age." Doug's Glam Triplex in Union Square House Tour |

Why does the dining room open onto the bedroom? Shouldn't it be where the living room is now, next to the kitchen? Crystal's Dramatic Home in San Francisco House Tour |

Re: the show home comments, I think that the apartment gives off a staged look more from the arrangement of the furniture. It's a good start, but some tweaks would make the living room feel more lived-in. Evelyn Lee's Sustainable Starter Apartment House Tour |

Those exterior corridors in the winter must be miserable. It's 1,200/sq. ft in the West Village, but you can do better for north of $6K a month. Heinous kitchen and bathroom as well. Michael Moeller's Bachelor Pad Project in the Sky House Tour |

Beautifully done. I'm really into the drama of it. How would it look with different colored trim around the door and medicine cabinet, perhaps a glossy coral or blue to match the birds? Black Jade Chinoiserie in the Bath Color Therapy |

I'd be interested in knowing about the developer's plans for the entire project. He mentioned 200 units in a building; would they all be more or less the same size studios? In that case, it might be more interesting to make the concept into something more hotel or dorm-like, with a 24 hour cafeteria/automat and convenience store in the building. That way they could reduce the kitchen facilities in each unit and provide more storage. Unless there's exterior ventilation, cooking in that small a space would be pretty overwhelming anyway. They say on their website that they deliver to your home, but that inquiries must be made in store. It doesn't look like you can buy online :( Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Slick Home Theater Uses MacBook as Digital Library |
