i think painting the sunken grooves in the molding on the cabinets themselves black would add a nice unexpected element without being too much visually - or work wise.

The first one for sure. I don't see that type of gray as dreary as most do. The majority of my living space is a similar color and I find it to be soothing and calming. It stands out on it's own, but doesn't take away from things you want to pop. Plus it's really versatile for selecting accent colors...

Nutella French Toast!

Slice a baguette into 1" slices.
Spread nutella on one side and use another slice to form a sandwich.
Butter frying pan and cook sandwiches evenly on both sides.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and you're good to go!

(I often "smash" the sandwiches with the bottom of another frying pan to speed cooking and make the sandwiches easier to handle.)

First timer here as well. I have issues purging clothes and I tend to have sentimental attachment to things. Not to mention I feel that each project I start spurs another.

So I'm kind of anxious right now. I've attempted four purge cycles since June. One before I moved, one after, one at the end of summer (getting rid of clothes I didn't wear this summer) and once more pulling out my winter/fall clothes. I still don't seem to have enough space for everything. The problem is, I don't necessarily want to add more storage, I would rather become more comfortable living with less.

Another thing to overcome is that now I'm living with my significant other and I'm also dealing with the merging of things. I love that we're working together to make our home a reflection of "our" style, but it can be taxing at times.

So, those are my hurdles. I know I have a lot to overcome, but I'm excited learn and grow from this experience.

roy's on sheffield is a great place for quality furniture at reasonable prices. we just got a huge sectional for $1400, which was $700 less than what we had seen other places. their display room has much more variety than their website.
