The fact that she used the phrases "cream myself" and "a dickhead thing to say" I love her no matter what her decor looks like. Joan & Matt's Joyously Eclectic Home House Tour |

I was curious about the 'vegan lifestyle' and Vegucated completely turned me off to it within the first 15 minutes. When she started going through the aisles and pulling up junk food and enthusiastically saying, "It's vegan!"...I'm sorry, but if a food that *should* have animal byproduct in it is essentially all chemicals, it can't possibly be healthy. 10 Terrific Food Documentaries To Stream On Netflix Tonight |

It just dawned on me that you might want some history. I bought mine from the second owner (I believe) on Craigslist for $100. He said it was built during the Vietnam War but had eventually ended up at Guantanamo (I didn't ask!) and he took it home with him. Military Desk Refurbishing Ideas? Good Questions |

You won't believe this, but I literally have THE EXACT SAME field desk. No joke, right down to the number of drawers, hardware, handles, color, everything! It looks like it is missing the top, which would have held 2 folding chairs inside and would have doubled as the 'table' and the drawer cover when it needed to be stored. I haven't had a chance to drastically alter mine so it has stayed the same army green, but I did put it up on casters (4 from IKEA) and have used it as a side table; it also stores some files since I gave away our filing cabinet we weren't filing up completely anyway. When we moved into our apartment with our teeny narrow kitchen, I knew we needed a pegboard. The available space was only about 4' wide but I made it well over 5' tall, and the accessories they sell like paper towel holders, hooks and baskets, all make it very easy to switch things up. And now, no bending over constantly to get the pots and pans. Day 5: Planning a Kitchen Pegboard Liveblogging the January Cure |

I had a dryer catch fire quite recently, so I'll raise my otherwise-throw-caution-to-the-wind hand and say the initial suggestion of aluminum in a heat-producing appliance sparked my concern. Pun intended. But if it works, then I guess it works! Money Saving Laundry Tip: Try an Aluminum Foil Dryer Sheet Replacement |

For a child's chair I might do parts of the chair back or legs, but kids are so messy, and I can see this coming apart - even with glue - after an hour of intense concentration and picking. Delightful Yarn-Wrapped LATT Makeover One More Mushroom |

I'll unpack the obvious stuff and put them where they go, but it takes me YEARS just to put stuff on the wall. I was proud it only took 3 months to put up curtains. Seriously. I can't tell if it takes me that long to see what the family needs, what the space dictates or if I'm just that non-committal. An Argument for Slow Decorating |

I managed to snatch up two for $80; one is 81" and the other is about a foot shorter. Funny enough they are oddly comfortable, white and with simple lines. I went to great lengths to be able to get them in our less-than-900-sq-ft apartment, including asking the next door neighbor to open her door so we could get that extra foot we needed to get them in! The longest of the two ended up on the balcony facing the woods, the other is working as our headboard/bookcase. I love them! Small Space Seating: Holy Church Pews! |

Love the natural light, love that your furniture is lifted away from the ground, giving that light and airy feel. It feels like with colors you didn't go with a 'scheme' necessarily, but it all comes together well. One of my favorites! Matt's Well Curated Collection Small Cool Contest |
