Sunrooms with Wall-to-Wall Sisal & Seagrass

I would only do it if it can be faux sisal made from polypropylene; otherwise the maintenance will drive you crazy. Sisal fades in direct sun so you would be committing to furniture placement as well. If you can't trim your doors I would consider laminate or engineered wood with an area rug instead.

do you have a salvage store nearby? Mine always has a dozen radiator covers or so for under $50 each in varying styles.

Hang in there Dan! Regarding the pantry - I might suggest using a shelf bracket system that's adjustable, rather than have fixed height brackets. You could still use the pine shelves, but it would give you greater flexibility if your storage needs change. I've done both, and regret the ones that weren't adjustable. I also used these amazing pullout drawers from the container store and think they are worth every penny http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10029674&N=&Ntt=bamboo+pull+out+shelf
They are meant for cabinets, but can be installed anywhere and work wonders keeping my pantry items organized and accessible.

Just because something is from China doesn't mean it can't be high quality. That said, I can see how the info on the website would be misleading. If they were actually manufactured in Belgium or Italy would you be willing to pay 5 times the price for fair labor practices? Why does it bother you so much that they are sewn in China? You seem to have a strong perception that things from China can't be luxurious and/or expensive.
I find RH linen sheets to be too fragile, but the linen duvet covers are excellent. I have linen sheets from Ireland (much more expensive) too and they were similar quality and wore out quickly.

I think soapstone is a wonderful choice. Will you have a sink basin made too? Or did you choose another material? I have an apron front cast iron kohler sink that I love...

I agree that the photos seem overly cropped. I wish there had been more to illustrate thte layout of the house and furniture.

What a beautiful home.

for my mac I use Time Machine and an external hard drive to back up the whole hard drive. On a second drive I copied my entire iPhoto library and then instructed Time Machine to also back up the second hard drive. I then took the super scary step of deleting my entire iPhoto library off my internal hard drive so that my computer could run more quickly. I then instructed iPhoto to default to the library on the second hard drive.End result - two external hard drives and a speedier computer!

The Abbott sofa from World Market $699 - not sure if you can get it in Canada though.

You could also buy a foam mattress and cut it down to size. For a base I would consider just having a piece (or two, so they fit) cut to size and set on top of something (cinder blocks? drawer bases?) so that you have some extra support with the foam mattress.

I would only choose the taller option if the available width for my fridge was narrower than usual.

What a lovely, albeit tiny kitchen. I'm amazed that they found room for seating and a warming drawer! Impressive use of space.
