I'm sort of surprised West Elm makes this, how many people actually have a vanity table?

I do prefer the look of the original Parsons desk, however this option does have a simple and clean quality if one were to get a vanity.

About a year ago we looked into a few Hideway type desks for our apartment. Both of our two computer desks, along with one desk being the major gaming station, made the living space look a bit like a command center.

Instead of buying one of these desks, we built doors onto the front of an existing desk that had a keyboard tray. When it is all closed up, our computer monitor just looks like a flat screen tv on a tv cabinet. It was a a good solution for us to get the same look and save a lot of money.

I love, save, and refer back to my shelter magazines, all neatly stored in file boxes! Glad others love them too. Makes me feel somewhat less like I'm slowly becoming a hoarder...

We have a lightweight duvet, and switch between a light white cotton cover, and a heavier brown flannel. I like to change the look, and it works for the changing temperatures too.

Growing up we always had a fake tree, real wasn't allowed due to a house fire my father witness as a kid on Christmas eve from a dry tree. Setting up the tree was part of the Holiday festivities, arranging each branch while gingerbread cookies baked..... :)

However, I always wanted the real thing, so now as an adult I get a real tree, and I keep it very well hydrated!

There are a LOT of etsy sellers with reusable sandwich and snack bags, designed in different ways and with cute prints. They're not expensive ($5-$15), so you can buy a few, and wipe them down when necessary.

I actually bought one for myself in an Amy Butler fabric to bring my sandwich to work. :p

I'm one of those people who also can't always remember my left from my right. :( However, one way I learned to remember, when I was little, is thinking "Left, Right" rather than "Right, Left". So as you read from left to right, the directions move left to right.....if that makes sense.

I'm kinda dyslexic so its possibly everything I'm saying is a little mixed up, but it works for me!!

I'm pretty sure I got that bedspread for my 11th birthday and wanted a more adult bedroom. :)

I've seen a variety of growth charts from different etsy sellers. There is a good range of styles and materials. I like the ones that look like they could continue to hang, as Lizzie55 said, after the kids have grown.

I did a similar thing for my folding chairs. We use the folding chairs often as outdoor seating and for guests. I wanted something to dress up the chairs, provide comfort, and small enough to store away when not in use(otherwise whats the point of folding chairs?).

My solution were rectangles of industrial felt. A 1/4" thick each, its just enough cushioning, and when I don't need the extra seating, I can double them up on our everyday chairs instead of storing them away.
