I've been spoiling my son with Trader Joe's frozen single serve pizza at $5 a pop! I'm going to make some of these this weekend! I'll come back and post results. Thank you for posting this - I'm excited! How to Make Frozen Pizzas at Home Cooking Lessons from The Kitchn |

I bought a tub of NON-hydrogenated vegetable shortening at Sprouts (both regular and butter flavor) and it turned out just like Crisco (but better since I knew it was healthier). I don't remember the brand, but it was on a display with the holiday baking items. Winter Recipe: Gingerbread Cake Cookies Recipes From The Kitchn |

I find it amazing that the majority of Europeans have such tiny refrigerators and cook FRESH every day, and in the US the majority of us have huge side-by-sides and on average don't even cook as often. At least I don't have time to cook working full time. Today I want to quit my job and retire to Italy so I can cook every day! <big smile> Lina Germi's Parma Kitchen Kitchen Tour |

It's beautiful, but a little tight I think. Good thing you'd never have need to open the dishwasher and oven at the same time - because I don't think it would be possible - at the very least dangerous. And is that a washing machine next to the dishwasher. This must be a very tiny place. Since they did such a great job with this tiny kitchen, I'd like to see the rest of this tiny place. Check your with your city. I was able to get a great deal on a large compost bin for almost half the price because I purchased it through my city. Best Small Space Compost Bins 2012 Apartment Therapy's Annual Guide |

I would presume once the stain and varnish are applied anything that might be more or less "toxic" would be sealed into the wood. I like the idea of stacking more than one pallet and using whatever is needed to bring up the height - maybe taller chunky legs and then apply the wheels. One might consider that the dirty politically incorrect word, "outsourcing," but to me it is just great business sense, and knowing IKEA, they'll be able to keep their prices down and still give great product at great prices! Can You Guess Which Rooms Are Real Inside the 2013 IKEA Catalog? |

Now that I think about it - that would be a great pattern to cross-stitch or embroider and put in a pretty glassed frame to give for a wonderful home-made wedding gift to hang in the new bride's kitchen! When I was in school, we had home economics with cooking first semester and then sewing class second semester. Now it would have been a great idea to have us make a cross-stitch of this graphic in sewing class, and then we would have remembered it for cooking! No such luck. I flunked both classes, although in the years following I learned how to sew and bake. Memory Tricks: Remembering How Many Cups in a Gallon |

Was it just me because I live in "earthquake" county (Los Angeles)? I apologize, but I just couldn't enjoy this place because initially I got freaked out when I saw the Kitchenaid standing mixer right at the ledge on the upper floor - one small jolt, and that thing might topple and be toast. I have one and know they're heavy, but still. . . Amy & J.T.'s Favorite Things Small Cool Contest |

Thank you for this post introducing me to Rachel Khoo! I am amazed at how well she can cook such special things with so little - just a 2-burner stove top and what looks like a toaster oven. Truly a testament to "less is more," and even YOU can do it if you have the training, talent and "want to"! Even though I don't cook, I love to watch her. I guess God made cooks, and He also made "watchers." That's me! I am watching all her episodes from her BBC show on YouTube! We need more shows like hers! Now that I have this wonderful receip - I think I'm going with the Germany tradition this year (they have such a wonderful tradition of inviting people over to celebrate). My birthday is in the summer too (end of August), and now that my home is renovated and beautiful, I will be having people over! I will start a new tradition for my 57th birthday! We use our wonderful fake evergreen tree we purchased a Stats (famous Christmas place in Pasadena, CA) about 10 years go. It's been a wonderful investment - I buy a wreath for the aroma necessary for the house to smell and "feel" like Christmas. I put an assortment of misc ornaments that I have collected over the years (most from my 1-year stint in Germany). What is Your Christmas Tree Style? |

I ordered my book and I'm ready to go - - need to toss a lot of junk from my bedroom. Maybe this will help. I'm a child of a hoarder so I makes it a bit difficult - - my only consolation is that my room doesn't even look close to those on the TV show. YIKES!

Kittie Congratulations! I vote you win hands down. I love, love, love your tiny tudor. I wish I could fly over the US to visit because although it's small it's a giant room with purpose to every inch and I'd love to experience the ambiance first-hand. Great designing/organizing!
