First of all, you have to negotiate and make an agreement with your neighbours that cause noise in the building.

I.g. Agreement not to play music after 10.30pm til 8am or so. No need to be in any legal form, just reach the friendly agreement with your neighbours.

This is how they resolve the issue in one NZ TV show that helps neighbours settle their dispute with a mediator.

Frankly, I'm not sure how efficient it will be in terms of other comments advising to be equipped with some sort of materials (i.e. rugs, floors, etc). What if they won't work after you spend a lot of money for sound-proof?

I'd rather contemplate moving in to a better place where the building was constructed in sound-proof (between walls), and neighours are respectful, who would well-behave enough not to play loud music late at night.

Interesting. I always get the impression that in order to put a picture of your room on AT, you should be at least a Mac user.

I agree with the first comment by 'surfjack'. I'm a uni student living in a dorm-style studio. But, I cannot related any features in those pictures to my place. It's a shame to have to see cool, but not-so common ideas at AT.

Oh and as erinmotely recommended above, chocolate (or brown colours) makes a great match with pinky colour!

Any sorts of colour in grey scheme always go with such a colour of that couch. Otherwise, cream or ivory colour would be safe though.

Yeah, it is true that the real Japanese sushi is only vinegared rice topped with sashimi (piece of raw fish). I think it's a pity that I find more so-called 'Californian rolls' on sushi train when I really want genuine 'sushi'.

One more, according to one Japanese sushi expert(!) I watched on TV, in order to tell whether they make good quality sushi, you should try egg-roll first; if the egg-roll is soft enough like melting on your tongue, then you can trust that the restaurant has a very good-skilled sushi chef.

Actually, pears instead of apples make better ginger tea. I always use pear ginger red date (a.k.a jujube). Nothing beats these three ingredients to prevent cold and strengthen the immune system.

I usually make similar dish with frankfurt sausages, cabbage, canned tomatoes, chillies, garlic, ginger and onions. The soup that tomatoes and cabbage make tastes really divine!

Perhaps I would have decorated the footpath with low level flowers and lighting like this:

As others have already said, the house is super-cute; it reminds me of a ginger bread house for the Christmas.

When people see houses, most people would first look at the front door area including your garden, rather than the roof. As such, I think adding flowers and lighting, rather than dealing with the rail, would make the house more appealing. Perhaps, something like this:

=========================================
Bohemian classic

You have a refined sensibility and bring a sense of history and tradition into your decor. You appreciate how symmetrical arrangements and beautiful, well-crafted pieces create a solid foundation to a room. But you like to shake up this restraint with objects and accessories that express your personality and your love of other cultures. When traveling, you seek out unique objects that reflect what you love, and you use them in a sophisticated way. You want people to feel comfortable in your home, and cozy chairs, ethnic fabrics, unique pieces, and even a little touch of quirk or humor give your house a laid-back, Bohemian flair.

You value serenity. While there are probably a lot of interesting things in your home, they are joined by your taste or a certain palette that keeps them in harmony. You appreciate the beauty in simple forms. Whether fancy or plain, you appreciate things that are well made and function as well as they look. You also have a strong respect for the environment and craftsmanship. You care about how things are made, and how they are used.

Well, methinks, it'd have been better not to have couches block the view of the two windows in the living room from the hallway. I just feel something uncomfortable in the picture of the livingroom as if something is blocked by the sofa from the window...
