Two words: diatomaceous earth. This all natural white powdery stuff can be ingested, put on pet fur, used on furniture and carpet and the best part is -- fleas and icky bugs CANT live in it! We used it to get rid of both fleas and round worms with our kitty...and it seems no one has even heard of it.
There are lots of online natural food stores that carry it, but I think we got ours on ebay. A google search will result in much more detailed info.
