I have found myself in need of a mixer a few times at work, but am without one. I did, however, have a wooden spoon, and a DeWalt power drill... It worked like a charm!

I live on the top floor of an apartment building, alone (though, I am not one who is easily spooked... typically). One night, just as I was just about to slip off into slumber, I heard footsteps. Very loud footsteps- and they were getting closer. They paused, seemingly only a few feet from my bed. I had been frantically looking through the darkness for some idea of who was in my room, but I saw nothing. Then the footsteps continued- closer. It was when it sounded as though they were literally above me, that I remembered how enjoyable a midnight smoke is, up on the rooftop. After calming down for a second, I felt horrible, thinking of how many times I may have done this to someone else.

Another tip, if you like the R&B, WS, PB looks- check out neighborhood stores too. I work at a little family store in San Francisco, and we carry some of the same exact suppliers as those other chains, except our prices are waaaaaayyy less. Sometimes even half. So don't be afraid of little stores (with big style).

I downloaded a .pdf of the MUNI map (SF transit system), altered the colors in photoshop a bit, and am sending it out to be printed (31x32"). I have a large, simple frame that I'm hanging it in on a large, blank wall. I also have a few postcards of the city (in sepia tones) placed in small (5x7") pic frames from Ikea, which I'm hanging on 2, maybe 3 sides of the larger map. Had the idea for months, but am only just now being able to actually do it!
