I disagree with holydita, we recently installed felt panels at the Wyly Theater in Dallas that were on a sliding track system and used 3mm thick felt. Its the density and rigidity you need, not the thickness. this is traci, one of the owners of filzfelt, and we appreciate apartment therapy posting about us but i'd just like to clear up some misinformation. our felt is 100% wool and is imported from germany, where the highest quality wool felt is manufactured. our product is wool felt (not felted wool as one of the comments stated) which is manufactured of wool fibers not a knit that is felted. 100% wool textiles are generally at a higher price point as they're a higher quality item and made from a natural material. cheaper felt is usually acrylic or blends of rayon and many times manufactured in china. p.s. we're also a new business and have only been selling for a few weeks. jim and rui added the basement with a projector and sectional to watch movies since there's no tv in the living room upstairs. they plan to add a deck but have done most of the interior finish work themselves and are still finishing up the master bath. the deck is next on the agenda. there is also polyurethane foam which is rigid and intended for exterior applications. i'm not sure what he means by "high density". Good Questions: Who has heard of Furniture made out of High Density Foam? Flag this comment	7/28/07 12:01 PM
