+1 For #5

Handwritten menu depends on how you write ... for me I'd rather use a nice brown-ish paper and print something with a nice font than writing it myself.

For ice cold champagne and fresh red wine ...

please ...

seriously ...

-_-

Why don't you just put ice in them in order to really screw everything :/
I totally agree with Beatrix, and 8°C is cold enough...
Then it's not absurd to do as said, (after all, it just depends on taste) but it's not the "classic French way to do it ..."

The easiest way to improve signal quality and strengh is to avoid interferences particularly with other wifi devices (neighbor for instance).
Simply check the channel your device is using and the others channels occupied and change for a free slot !
Many Android/iPhone/Computer apps can provide you the information. Then simply go to your router configuration menu and make the change !

:D I Love the sentence : "because some of us live in the real world, with concrete and small children and all"

That's totally true ... When you see pictures that are "too" nice, somethimes you just want to say : WTF ? man i do have papers on my desk, or WTF ? I do have stuff in my kitchen and it doesn't look like this picture ...

So even if it looks nice here, i doubt someone can use that case without changing it every week ...

I wanted a single sided fabric wire, so the choice was very limited by that ... Because I used to have a Koss Titanium (~UR40) which was great but i had to send it back like 4times because of the double plastic wire, so I tried Urbanears and for 70$ that's the best i found :/

I wanted to try the Bower & Wilkins ( http://www.viinz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/bower_wilkins_p5_1.jpg ) but it was way to expensive and the wire was plastic ... (Even my Bose supra has a plastic wire, i'm really considering buying all I need to cover my wires ...)

Rob Ungar -> That's exactly what happened with mine.

Personally I'll never buy a Dr Dre... they are way too expensive for what they are...
They are not Dj earphones, and for the price I can have a way better high audio fidelity product. (Not so fashionable I'll admit that)

I recently bought an Urbanears Plattan (for basic/street use) that does the job. ( with a fabric wire a remote and a line out  for ~75.00 USD)

What about the noise canceling feature nowadays ? when mixing, it used to be unusable in clubs (too many different noises, add high freq buzz ...), is it any better ?

Btw : i found this amazing topic, called "Multi-IEM Review - 125 IEMs compared" there are some really good reviews, if you're interested : http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/478568/multi-iem-review-125-iems-compared-sony-xb40ex-ex85-added-12-08

You should try the Numark PHX ;) i was impressed how they were better than my V700 (sound from my point of view and building quality) and also wayyy cheaper with more stuff in the box :D (different wires and earpads)

I use an old Linksys WRT54g with a DDWRT Firmware to increase the wireless power, it's very easy to find a tutorial to do this, and it's actually a very cheap solution !

The fact is that with these package, they can't be blamed if the shipment arrives broken, so they use as many protection as they can to assure a good shipping.
During my previous work, i was explained that a retunr policy cost much more than some peanuts, so they try to avoid it regardless the environment.

Making them realize this mistake is great, because, a good packaging doesn't always mean overreacting like that, and sometimes simple solutions (like recycled stripes of newspaper) can provide a good protection !

Excellent idea, but i'd rather use a desktop tower or a Mini Atx Tower, and put it inside a drawer, than have the front pannel on the side.
But it's a very nice job and i like the drawer customisation !
