Yes! And then I'd glue the pages onto a feature wall or a piece of furniture....

Apartment Therapy - How to Green this Window Seat?

I made something very similar using an old feather bed for the seat cushion. I covered it in a thrift-store table-cloth.

Not so green on the wood, though. I used MDF (but it was from the scrap bin!)

I'd put this on my bathroom window, to replace the sad-looking blind that's there now.

We painted the bathroom earlier this year. Just waiting on the window treatment to declare it done!

We'd definitely play this game with my brother, John. Every conversation with him is filled with recipes, tips and "what I'm going to eat next".

Interesting food fact: Every single kernel on a cob of corn has a silk attached to it (no wonder they're so hard to clean!)

Yes, yes, yes! Buying used is a fabulous way of living green.

I've opened my own second-hand store (www.maydecemberhome.com) just because I believe in this so much.

In making the switch from shopping for personal use to shopping for business, I find myself amazed at the sheer volume of stuff that's out there.

My favourite hunting grounds have to be farm auctions. There's all the stuff, plus the entertainment value of watching what others are buying and what they're willing to pay for it.
