I personally find the idea fantastic! Taking a plain object like the cabinet and adding something simple as the bulbs transforms the whole thing immediately!
Big ideas on a budget...brilliant!

That is a dream come true!!! If I could only skip my duties in NY I would jump in a plane right now.
And yes, $1,195 sounds like a lot, but I rather elevate my spirit inside the most beautiful and inspiring house in the world than paying the monthly maintenance of my apartment!!!
Oh well...

Fireplaces are always a plus in any building. In this case I think the solution is pretty good. Unusual and far from the cliche of the mantle that most people expect.
Modern solutions are not for everyone, but this is pretty good.

First, we have Marcio Kogan---one of the best architects in Brazil...his solutions are always elegant and modern). Then we add the unbelievable weather and the views, and of course penty of money, and we end up with a FANTASTIC building, in which to be sad or bored must be really hard.
Bravo Marcio!

I don't think this is an advertising! I live in Downtown Manhattan also, near Wall Street, and the aesthetic around is pretty much the same.
New developments are built on a budget (nice common areas but plain interiors) and usually lack any high-end
details in kitchen or bathrooms.
I think this apartment is very nice and it works for them, also the furniture looks great.

Very nice indeed! Sort of Jean Prouve meets Ikea.
The lines of this table are very sharp.

Ikea is great for a lot of things, but I wouldn't even consider to get any furniture besides some bookcases or similar. In sofas and sofa beds, usually low price equals bad quality.
Plus this sofa is plain ugly.
